Sweet Potato Pie Juice and Day 6 of my juice cleanse.
Morning Exercise: Walking, abs… Sunday is normally my day off, so I didn’t go to the gym, but was pretty active during the rest of the day.
Breakfast: Strawberry Orange Berry Juice (YUM)
Lunch: Mega Green and Garlic Juice
Dinner: Mega Green and Garlic Juice
Snack: Coconut Water
I feel: This morning I woke up very energized. I honestly think my foggy head (that I’ve had for the past 5 months) is GONE! I feel like my thoughts are actually clear, my energy is up, and my mood even feels better (and I didn’t think I was in a bad mood to begin with).
I’m still not hungry between juices, which I think is fantastic. I’m not craving candy or cakes or anything.. Although I do often ponder about the future when I might be able to eat something like Cold Stone ice cream again… Or cake. Those are always a rarity for me, but I would hate to miss out on at least a little bit of ice cream over the summer.
I am wondering what I’m going to do once I’m off the cleanse. I definitely want to continue to eat super healthy, but I definitely don’t want to gain any weight back that I will have lost. Obviously, I’m not going to suddenly binge on a bunch of sweets, but I wonder how long I’ll have to go before I can enjoy any again. And I wonder if I’ll be able to keep my nut cravings under control…
Weight Lost: 0.5 lb. Looks like the water weight is pretty much gone…
Total Weight Lost: 7 lbs.
This sweet potato pie juice tastes indulgent, but it purely natural juice from sweet potatoes, carrots, capsicum, with some fragrant spices added. I originally called it Cinnamon Sweet Potato Carrot Juice, but it just tastes so much like pie, I felt like I had to give it a more proper name! This juice tastes a bit thicker to me than the others have, and it’s very satisfying. It has a nice, rich, orange color and and amazing taste to accompany it!
Sweet Potato Pie Juice
Ingredients:
- 4 Carrots
- 1/2 Sweet Potato
- 1/2 Red Capsicum (Bell Pepper)
- 1 Fuji Apple
- Sprinkling of Cinnamon
- Sprinkling of Nutmeg
Send everything through your juicer (except the spices) and stir in the spices thoroughly at the end.
